From Jan to Mar in 2022, China imported 101,000 tons of mutton, down 17.9% YoY, with $640 million, up 0.6% YoY. Among imports the volume in March dropped 51.4% significantly.

For source countries, mutton imports from New Zealand, Australia and Uruguay accounted for 57.1%, 38.6% and 4.0% , down 21.2%, 9.6% and 34.6% YoY respectively.
